Waterloo Region Home Builders’ Association (WRHBA) has announced that Graem Jackson has become its 42nd president, succeeding Steven Harris.

Jackson was elected to the WRHBA board of directors in 2012 and was immediately elected to the executive committee, beginning as treasurer, and taking on other responsibilities with the association.

He has served on the WRHBA’s liaison committees over the past several years including the Region of Waterloo, the City of Waterloo and the Builder/Chief Building Official as well as various ad-hoc committees. In addition, he is a member of the Ontario Home Builders’ Association’s board of directors.

He has been a  WRHBA member since 2000 representing Carson Reid Homes and now as a partner with New Lifestyle Homes.

Jackson grew up in Fergus, Ontario  and at 15-years-old, he started working weekends and during the summer for the family home building business.  In 1997, he began supervising the construction of new home subdivisions, moving into an ownership role as time progressed.

He lives in Waterloo with his wife Darla, and their three children Gage, Olen and Jori. They enjoy time together at the cottage, downhill skiing and sailing.
