The new detachments will be located in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Moosonee<\/li>\n<li>Fort Frances<\/li>\n<li>Hawkesbury<\/li>\n<li>Huron County<\/li>\n<li>West Parry Sound<\/li>\n<li>Manitoulin Island<\/li>\n<li>Port Credit<\/li>\n<li>Marathon<\/li>\n<li>Orillia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The RFQ is the first step in the procurement process to select a team to deliver the project.<\/p>\n<p>IO and the MCSCS will evaluate submissions to prequalify project teams with the design and construction experience, as well as the qualified personnel and financial capacity, to deliver a project of this scope and complexity. Teams that qualify will be invited to respond to a request for proposals in mid-2017.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.merx4.merx.com\/public\/solicitations\/373329869\/abstract\"><strong>Interested companies must register with merx.com to download the RFQ<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.manitoulin.ca\/2017\/01\/25\/ontario-buys-little-current-land-possible-new-opp-detachment\/\"><strong>Manitoulin&nbsp;Expositor<\/strong><\/a><\/span> reports that Northeast Town council has authorized&nbsp;the sale of eight lots to IO. The newspaper reported:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span class=\"s1\">The Expositor contacted IO inquiring if the purchased land would be the future site of the new Manitoulin OPP detachment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAt this time,&nbsp;IO&nbsp;can only&nbsp;speak about the general location of OPP&nbsp;detachments,\u201d responded <strong>Cary Mignault<\/strong>, special advisor with IO. \u201cSpecific details about the exact locations&nbsp;will be released publicly after full due diligence has been followed.
