Fall has officially arrived with the cooler evenings taking over and the warm weather returning by mid-day! With the arrival of October, it means Thanksgiving is only a few days away and it is time to reflect with family and friends.
It is also the time of year where most people kick off their annual donations for food banks, toy drives for the holidays and charitable donations are tied into industry events. Over the next few months, we will be providing free editorial coverage of companies like yours that give back! If you have an upcoming event, raising funds or items for local toy and food drives share the details with me and we can highlight the kick off and final announcements of what was raised. Include a few photos of the event or items collected and send in a short write up and our editorial team will follow up with any questions.
We will be hosting our family for Thanksgiving dinner on October 12 with turkey, stuffing, vegetables and lots of dessert. On the 11th my wife and daughter will join me at the Hamilton Ti-cats game to kick off the long weekend. Things I am thankful for this year that I will share again that day include are; our second youngest son Noah graduated from Niagara College Motive Technician Program, our oldest son Anthony just got engaged and will be married next Fall in 2026 and Aubrey successfully started Senior Kindergarten. Throw in a 5-year wedding anniversary with my beautiful wife Suzanne in late September and a whole list of projects around the house completed or well under way this year. What are you thankful for?
