Aon has scheduled a presentation about environmental law issues in Kitchener on March 28.
“Rules are changing on how companies manage excess soil,” Aon says. “How will this impact your operations going forward? Also, will your surety facility be impacted by the proposed changes to the Construction Lien Act?”
The program, including continental breakfast, is at the Holiday Inn Kitchener-Waterloo Conference Centre, 30 Fairway Rd. S., Kitchener.
“This discussion will highlight the application and interpretation of environmental laws and how they can impact your organization. We will review the powers of the MOECC with court case examples and discuss current prosecutions with a focus on personal liability of corporate directors and officers. The insurance risk transfer was also adapted in Ontario;
“Aon will provide an overview of the risk transfer products and tips to minimize your unknown environmental risks.
“Attendees will also learn the changes the Ontario government is proposing to excess soil management.”
