Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO) has invited its 200 member firms to submit entries for the 2016 Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards. Projects entered must have been completed to the client’s satisfaction in the period from Jan. 1, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2015.

The Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards were established in 2002 to recognize projects that have made significant contributions to improving the economic, social and environmental well-being of Ontario and around the world. The awards are considered to be the most prestigious honour in the province’s consulting engineering community.

A total of 12 awards recipients will be revealed and recognized at the Annual Awards Gala on April 16, 2016 at International Centre, including the Willis Chipman Award, which is reserved solely for Ontario-based projects.

Five Awards of Excellence will be given according to the firm sizes for projects completed either in Ontario or outside the province, provided they were managed by an in-Ontario office. Categories include firms with one to 25 employees, firms with 26 to 50 employees, firms with 51 to 100 employees, firms with 101 to 350 employees and firms with more than 351 employees.

In addition, CEO will present the Awards of Merit in six categories, including Building Engineering and Science; Environment; Industry, Energy and Resources; Project Management; Studies and Research; and Transportation.

There is no fee to submit an entry and member firms may submit up to five entries. The Notice of Intention to Submit must be emailed to dlee@ceo.on.ca by Oct., 28, 2015. The deadline for submission is Friday, Nov. 27, 2015.

More information on submission guidelines is available at www.ceo.on.ca or by contacting Diane Lee, CEO’s communications co-ordinator at dlee@ceo.on.ca or (416) 620-1400 ext. 227.
