Oxford Properties has announced plans to develop a 60-storey office tower in Toronto’s South Core neighborhood at 30 Bay Street.

The tower, called The HUB, is a 1.4-million sq. ft. building that will be a dominant new fixture on Toronto’s skyline, the company said in a statement.

UK-based architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners has been selected to design the office tower. The design will incorporate the historic Harbour Commission Building, Oxford said.

Last month, Oxford filed its rezoning application to the City of Toronto for the 60-storey building. However, the company hasn’t disclosed any other details yet.
