As I write this column, it is about to approach 20 degrees outside. The utility locates for my new porch are wrapping up and construction will start within the week. It’s time for Spring projects around the house. Warm weather also means the construction industry will be moving forward at full speed, catching up from any weather delays from the past five months.
Once my new porch and wheel chair ramp for my daughter are built, I will move my attention to finishing up the back porch project I started last year. I am completing 1-inch rigid foam insulation over the next week. Then I will start writing up my shopping list for the final batch of supplies to complete the project. I will start paneling and finishing touches inside and out the first week of June.
