The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) will host the Leading the Evolution industry summit on April 25 and 26 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto.
Fuelled by CCA’s recent independent research on emerging trends in the construction industry, the summit will focus on trends impacting workforce, technology, market forces, and procurement. With guest speakers and panel and roundtable discussions, this is an opportunity for construction’s leaders to engage in focused conversations on fast-emerging trends in construction in Canada.
A cocktail reception and dinner on April 25 will feature a talk by Abacus Data CEO David Coletto on What generational change means to the construction industry in Canada.
On April 26, CCA will dig deep on the trends explored in their recent research report.
Joining CCA for the day will be Pierre Lavallée, president and CEO of Canada Infrastructure Bank, Peter Hall, vice-president and chief economist of Export Development Canada and Abacus Data’s Coletto
CCA says in a statement that it has partnered with Abacus Data to conduct in-depth interviews on industry trends with Canada’s construction industry leaders and experts covering key areas such as workforce, technology, market forces and procurement. CCA will share this research with its members to give them key insights from major players in the industry on the trends they see impacting their businesses in the future.
“This is an exciting initiative,” said CCA president Mary Van Buren. “Our members will benefit from the development of an independent research report created by the industry for the industry. The final report will provide an in-depth understanding of emerging issues with strategic insights and inspiration from leaders across the Canadian construction industry. It can serve our members as a valuable resource to aid in strategic planning.”
