BluEarth Renewables announced that it has begun work on its 54-MW Loyalist solar project in Ontario.
The project, in the Township of Stone Mills, County of Lennox & Addington, consists of a solar plant, overhead and underground electrical line circuits and substations including electrical substation transformer, communication lines and related electrical infrastructure to connect the project to the transmission system.
Construction is expected to be completed in November 2018, with commercial operations scheduled to begin in January 2019.
The project’s developer Loyalist Solar is a partnership between the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and BluEarth Renewables.
