Toronto Pride Parade 2023 was a memorable event for the Carpenters’ Regional Council (CRC) – the first year that the union registered a float in the parade.

About 200 members marched down Yonge Street waving the Pride and Carpenters’ Union flags with celebratory music in the background.

“Our organization not only negotiate a livable wages, pension, benefits and training for our membership; we also foster a sense of belonging for all our members,” said Chris Campbell, director of equity diversity and inclusion, Carpenters’ District Council of Ontario. “The leadership promotes the philosophy of connecting and building on the relationship with the local communities and cultural groups.

“Thank you to the members and the Canadian District vice-president Jason Rowe for his support this weekend.”
