Christine Hill steps into the role of Consulting Engineers of Ontario’s (CEO) chair as Jeremy Carkner steps down from the role to pursue a career path in a different industry.
Hill is highly regarded in the field due to her activity in a number of industry associations and brings 29 years of engineering experience to the role.
She has been actively involved with CEO for the past five years chairing a number of committees and is completing her second term on the board.
Her plans for CEO are to stay on course with the roadmap already established and to move forward with the organization’s strategic goals: Shaping public policy, regulation and legislation in the interest of our members; achieving a favourable procurement and business environment; and promoting the investment of member resources.
“CEO offers its members the opportunity to be heard on issues impacting them which are voiced through CEO’s government relations services, including the Rapid Response service which addresses procurement issues raised by member firms in a timely manner,” Hill said.
