“The Safety Award means a great deal to all us,” GVCA president Martha George said in a members’ newsletter. “While we have long had proof our Safety Group methodology works (through improved safety and top WSIB rebates), it is nice to be recognized on a national stage for all the hard work our members and safety group facilitator undertake.”

“We’ve invested in this program because it is worth it. This is another lesson in business success – never take shortcuts on safety and improving safety is worth the investment. We also know we cannot rest on our laurels, so we will continue to improve our Safety Group offerings, continue to provide the Safety Group Lite, and continue to offer every safety educational module our members need.”

Meanwhile, George says  JasonBall has worked tirelessly to promote the GVCA as well as guide the association, “volunteer, financially support and generally be there whenever we asked.”

“He has made the ICI construction industry a better place and the CCA General Contractor award shows that the industry feels the same way,” George said. “Ball Construction has been integral in the growth of our region, a family business that has kept true to its values and its reputation for excellence continues. I’ve known Jason for many years, and we are close friends. I’ve come to rely on his good judgement and often seek his advice. He has always been a winner in my books – and now the national CCA concurs.”
