Reid’s Heritage Homes captured top honours when it was named 2013 Ontario Home Builder of the Year by the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA). The southwestern Ontario-based builder excels in its commitment to energy efficient, high-quality craftsmanship and creative approaches to sales and marketing, the OHBA said in a news release.
“With over 30 years of experience in the home building industry, the firm has built their reputation on their promise to create homes, neighbourhoods and communities that are safe, inviting and committed to a greener future,” the OHBA award announcement said. “Based on this philosophy, Reid’s was the first company in Canada to build the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) ‘platinum-level’ home and has continued to strive towards more efficient homes by participating in the ecoEnergy Innovation Initiative to build net-zero homes that are affordable and sustainable.”
The OHBA says the award is presented to the company that demonstrates the highest levels of performance, creativity and ingenuity based on judging criteria in the areas of sales and marketing excellence, floor plan design, community service, support of the industry and its ability to adapt to changing needs.
Ontario Home Builder of the Year is among 34 categories in the OHBA Awards of Distinction program, which honours innovation and excellence in the areas of design and sales and marketing.
