Happy New Year from my family and the staff of the Ontario Construction News. I hope that you, your family, co-workers and friends are all well, have a great 2022, and are taking time to reflect on what you are all thankful for.
Last year at this time I was living at Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton with my wife while our new born daughter was in the NICU McMaster Children’s Hospital and would there remain until mid-April before we would all get home. From her first three months on CPAP to help with chronic lung infection, to coming home with a G-Tube for formula feeding by pump that remained until it was removed in September, she has been a warrior. We did most of this in various stages of lockdown where only one parent was allowed in the room. A year later, we have returned to another lockdown.
I am thankful for some great clients who were flexible in meeting times and calls to work around my afternoon shift spent at the hospital with my daughter daily. Thankful as well for a great team at work who offered support. Now, looking ahead for 2022, I am hoping for an end to COVID-19 and things getting back to normal.
What are you thankful for from 2021? What are your plans for 2022 and milestones your business will celebrate? Contact me to provide coverage of your reasons to celebrate and the good news you have to share with the industry. If you have faced challenges since the arrival of COVID-19 and have found a way to succeed, please reach out for coverage in our news section.
Again Happy New Year and Season’s Greetings from our team to yours.
