New boards and chairs have been elected for two of the province’s largest construction associations, The Toronto Construction Association (TCA) and the Ottawa Construction Association (OCA).
Craig Lesurf has been appointed chair of the TCA.
Lesurf is vice-president of Walsh Canada and has 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. During his speech at the AGM, he vowed to make safety and strengthening relationships in the construction industry his top priority, the TCA reported in its newsletter.
Meanwhile, Mark Watson is the OCA’s 2016 chair
Watson is regional manager and shareholder of Contractors Rental Supply (CRS). He oversees the daily operation of six eastern Ontario CRS locations and is responsible for developing business strategies to improve profitability and efficiency while working closely with a team of branch managers. He has been a member of the OCA board since 2008 and has served on committees including the standard practices committee, building committee, and as chair of the entertainment committee. He has also served as a member of the Ottawa Young Construction Leaders steering committee.
