It can be difficult to categorize or priorities the top 10 in any industry, given the diversity of the players and some of the unique niches they serve. This listing of the top 10 in the kitchen and bath sector of the construction industry reflects an amalgam of experience, relationships, and perceptions.

While this isn’t a scientific group – there are many other companies worthy of recognition – it provides a clue about some of the diversity, initiative and focus within this niche community. Laurysen Kitchens

When John and Adri Laurysen first opened up shop in 1970, “John Laurysen Custom Cabinets” was a small garage of 1,200 sq. ft. It was a far cry from the 55,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility it operates today.

The company has grown to a fully qualified and experienced team of more than 100 people and a dealership network that stretches across 27 different marketplaces, with orders for cabinets coming in as far away as Bermuda.

Ora Kitchens

Founded in 2005, Orillia-based ORA Kitchens Inc. began supplying kitchens and bathroom vanities to local builders and the general public. Since that time, the company has grown in its capacity and scope and now provides full service from concept and design through delivery, installation and service for kitchens, bathrooms, and or any room in the house requiring custom cabinetry.

In 2009, the company changed its name to ORA Kitchens and Bath Inc. and under new ownership, expanded its reach to new home builders and retail markets throughout Southern Ontario.
